LWE are one of London’s premier promoters, and this NYE they will prove it. The team are putting on a very special show which is inspired by the huge dancefloors of the original discotheques from yesteryear. The mighty O2 Academy Brixton will be transformed into all singing, all dancing bespoke dancehall which will celebrate the roots and energy of club culture. Emphasis will be placed on diversity and inclusiveness, on life affirming moments and self-expression and on love and unity. With its art deco features, the behemoth space allows for production opportunities that would not be feasible at most other London nightspots. The line up is still evolving but current booked acts include The Blessed Madonna, Hunee, Jayda G, TSHA, Alma Negra, B.Love, Felon5, Delasflores. Tickets are on second release and start at £35. The event starts at 9pm and runs through to 5am on Friday 31st December.
LWE will take the emblematic venue and push it to become something even greater than before. And with Friday 31st December 2021, proving to be an extra special date, expect production to reflect the magnitude of the occasion, with the central focus placed on the quality of the sound systems and the hedonism of the dancefloor. Joining LWE for the launch of Love Unlimited are a melting pot of the world’s finest selectors, all hand-picked as the ideal ambassadors for the event.
Jeff Gray, Promoter at LWE says “Last year NYE was definitely one to forget, so this year we are making up for lost time. What better way to do that than celebrate the music and culture we love, all soundtracked by our favourite DJs and hosted at one of the Capital’s most cherished venues. Love Unlimited is going to be a very special NYE party, it’s been great fun putting it together so far and we can’t wait to show what we have in store for everyone!”
Renowned for her fluent and dynamic sets is The Blessed Madonna. Emerging from humble beginnings, the We Still Believe label founder has enjoyed a meteoric rise in recent years. As resident DJ on both BBC Radio 1 and BBC 6 Music, her seminal track ‘Marea (We’ve Lost Dancing)’ continues to cement itself as one of the strongest releases this year, while her recent remixes of The Chemical Brothers, Elton John and Dua Lipa have been nothing short of showstopping. We cannot wait to find out what she has in store for LWE at Love Unlimited NYE.
Joining The Blessed Madonna is formidable eclectic connoisseur Hunee. Over the last decade the German born artist has carved out his own lane to stand amongst the most touted selectors today. Whether house rarities or disco curveballs, boogie delights or percussive gems, Hunee’s record bag has no limits. A perfect fit to usher in 2022 at this historic venue.
Bringing more flair and disco fever to this New Years event is none other than Jayda G. The past couple of years has seen Jayda enjoy huge success in the studio, with her EP “Both Of US / Are You Down” receiving a Grammy nomination and a year-long stint on BBC Radio 1’s Residency show. Having performed on the stages of seminal events this summer such as Lost Village and Wilderness Festival, you can expect Jayda to bring something truly magical to this electrifying showcase.
Also joining us is one of electronic music’s fastest rising stars, TSHA. Named as ‘one to watch’ by NME, Mixmag, Billboard, DJ Mag and BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong, TSHA will no doubt dig deep into her record collection and make this a New Year’s Eve performance to remember. Completing the lineup of artists so far announced include Alma Negra, plus B.Love, Felon5 and Delasflores of Peckham’s Bizarre Trax.
As the spotlight is placed on this momentous debut, expect 2022 to be welcomed in a way that warms the soul and moves the feet. This is Love Unlimited. The Capital’s love letter to house and disco.
